Riverbank

I saw a vibrant purple haze lay sensually upon the mountainous horizon,
Streaks of technicolour violet lights and maroon clouds streaming gloriously through the tempestuous skies,
Dazzling flashes of pale white lightning erupting gleefully overhead,
Monstrous cracks of god-like thunder exploding far in the ominous distance like hushed whispers,
A kaleidoscopic whirl of fluttering golden autumnal leaves drifting idly over the scented meadow grass,
Beauteous looming oak trees resting patiently by the peaceful riverbank,
Joyous sparrows and blue jays nesting high above in the gently swaying branches,
Luminous scarlet sea creatures gliding effortlessly over the silky glittering water’s surface,
The subtle crackle, crunch and clomp of horse-drawn carriages slowly ambling over the winding rustic country paths,
Mystical spirits and strange forest sounds rolling through the bountiful island like mysterious ethereal waves,
A luscious haze of formless euphoria wafting dreamily above my tender skull like pulsating ripples of birdsong,
Sleepless dreams and fantastical memories of hallucination glistening within the untamed oceans of my incandescent mind –
